Emergency First Aid at Work
The HSE permits up to 2 hours of the 6-hour Emergency First Aid at Work course to be completed online, with the remaining time dedicated to practical, hands-on, face-to-face training.
The course provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical understanding needed to respond confidently to workplace emergencies, manage injuries and illnesses, and perform critical life-saving techniques.

Learners complete self-checks after each section and a final assessment. Completing the online module prior to the practical day is strongly advised, allowing learners to resolve questions with their trainer and confirm their skills before obtaining their full Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
Learners who complete both the online and practical modules can download their certificate instantly from the dashboard. This streamlines the process, reduces administrative work, and ensures quick access to certification.
